I created Wool & Canvas- by Shelley, a bag collection that is now available to purchase!

I rummaged my vintage trim stash, made a few prototypes, had samples made, talked myself out of backing out several times, and had my bags mass produced. It has been about a year long process, but I’m so excited about them.

Last year when I traveled to France with my family to ride bikes and watch the Tour de France, I decided I wanted a “personal item” bag that I was excited about that made my heart skip a beat. The whole flight I thought about different fabric options to create one. I absolutely love wool, canvas, and vintage trims. After about 3-4 different renditions, this is what my heart loved the most.

My original plan was to produce an “overnight bag” only…then I started thinking about all those cute vintage luggage 3 piece sets. I ended up adding the “weekend bag” and “toiletry bag” to the collection. Then last minute I added the “cross body bag” to my order, rounding out the 4 piece set.

I always joke that I’ve got an “all or nothing” type personality….

Weekend bag– 2 outside zipper pockets lined in floral, and one inside zipper pocket to hold valuables such as a phone, chapstick, tissues, wallet, etc. Padded bottom for extra stability. Generous size to hold all your necessary items for a weekend getaway, girls trip, ski bag, etc.

Weekend bag– custom webbing was made to replicate a piece of webbing I’d held onto for 15+years in my stash.

Weekend bag– outside pockets lined in floral. I love understated details. YKK zipper pulls.

Weekend bag– Genuine leather handles. I absolutely love the quality of real leather. Inside of the whole bag is lined in a soft grey wool blend.

 

 

 

Overnight bag–where it all started. I use mine all the time. It has so many uses…quick change of clothes, overnight bag, church bag, diaper bag, bike bag, etc.. and can count as a personal item when flying.

 

Overnight bag– 2 elasticized end pockets for water bottles or other items. One inside zippered pocket to hold your phone, wallet, or other valuable. Aged brass hardware. Touch of custom webbing.

 

Overnight Bag– Lap top sleeve, whole inside lined in soft wool blend. Vintage inspired scalloped trip is layered behind the Indian block print floral. Padded shoulder strap.

 

 

Cross body bag– heavy weight canvas, lined with soft wool blend, outside floral lined zipper pocket to hold phone, vintage inspired scallop trim and small Indian floral block print. Aged brass hardware. Custom webbing and shoulder strap.

 

 

Toiletry bags— two variations. Floral or stripe with vintage inspired scallop trim. Both are lined with the large floral. Generous size to hold all your toiletries.
